  1. Pecking out the keys on a touchscreen isn’t much fun. Smartphones are supposed to make life easier, but when it comes to typing, they’re much harder to use than a desktop or laptop with a standard keyboard. Enter Swype, a new kind of keyboard, specifically made for mobile phones. Instead of hunting and tapping at each key, a Swype keyboard lets you drag a finger from letter to letter, with superior prediction of what word you’re writing, without having to hit each key perfectly. Let me remind you that QWERTY keyboards were actually invented to slow humans down. Back in the day typewriters simply could not keep up with the speed at which humans were typing. However, modern day processors negate this effect.

So why hasn’t anyone stepped forward and designed a new keyboard? Well, like the saying goes, it’s tough to teach an old dog new tricks. Lucky for us, Swype has come forward and built on the old school QWERTY keyboard, thus ensuring that all Swypeusers are already familiar with the layout.
