  1. Google Images Instant

Hot off the heels of Google Instant and Youtube Instant comes yet another iteration of “instant” searching. The difference between this one and the others? I believe Google Images Instant to be the most useful.

How many times have you been searching for that one, unique image, but not known what specific query to input into the search form? Much like Google Instant, Google Images Instant will help you search smarter.

This sort of technology seems easy to develop as it took Feross Aboukhadijeh just 3 hours to program Youtube Instant. Why then has it taken the major players so long to implement it?

And if it’s any sign as to what people are searching for, a one letter search generally returns pictures of models and celebrities.

Update: Seems like I forgot to give credit where credit was due. Michael Hart is the creator of Google Images Instant and Google Maps Instant. He claims to be looking for employment. I can’t offer you a job Michael, but I do plan on moving out to the Valley next June after I graduate from college to launch a startup. If you’re looking for a business-oriented sidekick, I could be your man! ;)
